By wrapping the ease of use of a file browser
around the combined design of a spreadsheet and
database, FlexPro has become the analysis tool of
choice for technical professionals who don’t want
to be dominated by the sheer size of their data or
the depth of their analysis.
FlexPro organises all items in your
analysis, from data sets and graphs to
results and presentation templates, as
objects in a hierarchical tree. Its intuitive
object-oriented design makes applying an
analysis chain to different data sets as
simple as a few drag-and-drop operations.
Data from an impressive range
of file
formats and laboratory instruments are
imported into spreadsheet objects.
They’re then analysed with a few mouse
clicks, with the resulting data or graph
objects also placed into the tree.
Publication quality deliverables are
then created by placing graphs or
analysis results onto a presentation
template. These are populated simply
by dragging data objects onto them.
New FlexPro version 8 introduces a
raft of time-saving features and
advanced analysis tools that make data
crunching simpler than ever.
It now exploits the power of multi-core
processors to rapidly perform calculations
on data in arrays, and can process larger
multi-gigabyte data files with a new 64-bit
data type and faster reading from the hard
disk. Version 8 now saves calculation
results into the database, improving
performance when they’re reloaded.
Graphs now deliver greater impact
with
more flexible positioning and formatting
of the legend and axes labels. New tools
for quantifying loudness and human
body vibration, better rainflow counting
and digital filtering, and improved event
isolation are a few of the new analysis
functions that make their debut in version 8.
Higher resolution printing
and antialiased
on-screen display delivers more
impressive looking results with smoother
curves and sharper text, while a wizard
creates DIN 461 compliant plots. Syntax
highlighting and an integrated debugger
make the scripting language a friendlier
environment for customising your own
analysis.
