When installing Mathcad I get the error ".ocx failed to register HRESULT..."

When installing Mathcad you get several errors along lines of ".ocx failed to register HRESULT -2147010895". The installer may well continue past this point, but Mathcad does not operate correctly.

Mathcad 14 users should backup the V14 licence file (default location c:\Program Files\Mathcad\Mathcad 14\licenses\license.dat) and uninstall V14 prior to installing V15. If you wish to revert to V14 after the trial period you will need to uninstall V15 and install V14 using your licence file backup.

Case Studies: Hatch Africa is an EPCM engineering, project and construction management consultancy that specialises in mineral processing, mining, energy and infrastructure. As part of a global collaborative design stragey, the company is striving towards interoperability and integration for its software tools. Johan Palm, a senior engineer in the Project Delivery Group, is driving the implementation of the Hatch Calculation Toolkit in South African offices. HatchTools is a global calculation library that uses Mathcad at its core to standardise calculation formats and integrate engineering design.

This case study was put together by PTC's South African distributor, ProductOne.
