Mathcad Add-On Product Family

Signal Processing Extension Pack (version 3)

Examples

PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Signal Processing Extension Pack, coupled with Mathcad 12, provides a powerful design solution for iterative exploration and investigative analysis. Complete with extensive signal processing, analysis, and visualization capabilities, this Extension Pack is ideal for electrical design, DSP, audio, recording, and research engineers. It is also valuable for other engineers and scientists involved in a broad range of signal processing applications, in industries such as telecommunications, test and instrumentation, manufacturing, defense, control systems, home entertainment, medicine, and more. Students of electrical engineering will also enjoy the benefits of signal processing functions.

This robust Mathcad add-on tool provides a total of over 70 built-in signal processing functions. Among the highlights of this new version is added functionality in signal filtering, spectral analysis, time-frequency analysis, and spectral estimation. In addition, new Visual Basic application examples illustrate how to use Visual Basic scripting with Mathcad for signal processing applications. The Extension Pack also gives you full support for multichannel and complex signals, and provides Window arguments for all filtering signals. And because the Extension Pack becomes part of your Mathcad desktop, you can use it to create publication-quality technical documents, graphs and presentations.

Product Reviews

"Our work ranges from complex medical imaging research to large-scale mapping and diagrams and we need a tool that is able to handle anything we investigate. With Mathcad, we are able to manipulate and analyse our data quickly while at the same time documenting our work, for sharing and publication. We also use it for pilot studies conducted in support of research grant applications. It is an end-to-end tool for research and development."
Dr. Kenneth Castleman, President of Advanced Digital Imaging Research (ADIR), Houston, Texas

"Mathcad is an integral product for my work... With Mathcad, itís easy to disseminate design calculations because the documents look like real math. Thereís very little I canít do in Mathcad. The main benefits come from the format, which resemble a typed set of calculations. These programs are easier to develop by engineers and easier for others to follow and review since the logic is expressed in a familiar manner. The format is what places Mathcad head and shoulders above other programs of a similar function."
Andre Pavlov, Structural Engineer, Florida Department of Transportation
