Order Tracking Option

Using this option you can carry out order tracking for speed-dependent oscillations. During order tracking the oscillation signals measured at a certain speed are subjected to a Fourier transformation (FFT). Individual spectral lines are taken from the spectrum where the frequency corresponds to a multiple of the base frequency as determined by the speed.

The FlexPro Order Tracking option can process data in different data structures. You can either enter multiple individual signals that are measured at specified revolutions or one ramp-up signal and the synchronicously measured speed signal. FlexPro can analyse time and angle (phase) signals. The speed signal can also be interpreted as an impulse signal.

The result of the order tracking is a 3D data set with the amplitude plotting respectively, against order and frequency or speed. With the Split Orders Analysis Object, you can divide the result into several 2D data sets, one for each order. You can use the Family of Acceleration Hyperbolas Analysis Object to compute a 3D data set of acceleration hyperbolas to be displayed in the result diagram for order tracking.

Features

  • Source data may be sampled based on time or angle.
  • The factor to transform time into RMS can be specified.
  • The speed signal can be specified as an impulse signal. The number of impulses per revolution can be specified.
  • When analysing ramp-up signals, the speeds can be specified or read from an external data set.
  • When analysing individual measurements, the associated speeds can be specified directly or computed from additional signals by averaging.
  • Adjustable FFT-length.
  • FFT spectra amplitude, amplitude2, RMS, MSA, complex, real part, imaginary part, phase.
  • Taper windows rectangular, Hamming, Hanning, Bartlett, Kaiser-Bessel, Flattop, Blackman, Cosine, Welch, Connes.
  • Adjustable band with for detecting the orders .
  • The list of orders to be analysed can be specified or obtained from a separate data set.
  • Order, speed, and frequency can be freely assigned to the X and Z
components of the data set result. An external data set can be specified as the source for the X component.
  • Splitting of 3D result into individual orders.
  • Computing of a 3D data set to display a family of acceleration hyperbolas.

Product Reviews

"Because it offers and delivers simplicity I made the serious mistake, at first approach, of thinking this a simple and straightforward package. Nothing could be further from the truth; the more I became acquainted with it, the more intriguing its hidden depths and byways became. It is unique in several ways and distinctive in several more."
