General Description
The DNA-429-5xx series is a family of ARINC 429 communications interfaces. The current family includes two different versions with different combinations of TX and RX channels. The DNA-429-566 offers 6 TX / 6 RX while the 429-512 provides 12 RX channels. All boards are fully compliant with the ARINC 429 spec and support both high speed (100 kHz) and low speed (12.5 kHz) operation. The channel speed is software selectable in banks of either two or three channels. Data integrity, even when all channels are set in high speed mode is assured with the use of 256 word FIFOs on all RX and TX channels
Only the RX channels of the ARINC 429 boards are compatible with the UEILogger when it is operated in its standard Logger mode. However, the logger also fully supports the UEI Framework and the DNA-429-5xx series transmitter ports are fully supported when the cube is accessed directly by a host computer.
